Contemplation of the Cross

This multi-panelled moving fresco provides the opportunity to contemplate the Crucifixion of Christ from various perspectives. For example, in the fourth of seven major sequences, which comprise the work, we see the blood flowing from the wound made by the Centurion soldier, blood that merges with a series of religious icons from across the ages.
