Sandwich

Italy, 1984 (MIFF 1984)

Director: Bruno Bozzetto

A live-action film by Bozetto, "Sandwich" is a very funny look at a man on a bicycle outing, who constructs a monumental sandwich for his lunch, only to have it lurch out of his hands and lead him on a wild romp through the countryside. He finally catches up with it, high on a mountaintop, and the surprise ending reveals that the joke is really on him.
