MsTaken Identity

UK, 1985 (MIFF 1987, Video U.K.)

Director: Karen Alexander, Helen Petts

Made to coincide with International Youth Year. A fast-moving video in which seven young women's groups use an engaging combination of Raps, Skits and Songs - all written and performed by the women involved - in an attempt to explore and celebrate their view of being young and female in 1985. The result is a stylish mix of politics and entertainment.
