"A boldly conceived and bracingly told political drama, Policeman possesses a special contemporary pertinence… to the vast class and economic disparities in Israel." - Hollywood Reporter

Presented by first-time filmmaker Nadav Lapid in two defined chapters, this strikingly unpredictable thriller shines a blinding light on the social and economic inequalities tearing at Israel from within.

It opens with the über-buff, ultra-narcissistic Yaron - a police officer working in an anti-terrorist unit who considers himself the ultimate defense against the “Arab enemy”. It then turns to a terrorist cell of wealthy youth who plan to crash a billionaire's daughter's wedding to demand ransom and social revolution.

The endgame reveals the kind of collateral damage that ensues when these conflicting parties come head-to-head against one another.

Policeman picked up multiple awards at the Jerusalem Film Festival, and won the Special Jury Prize at Locarno.
