Happy Games is composed of two episodes, one a romantic incident, the other a comedy.

Stick is a comedy about a family's week-end trip — with father, mother, three children, and animals — to grandmother's summer cottage. The humour is simple and unsophisticated.

Juulia is a "cynical romance" described on three levels. Juulia tells her girl friend about a summer interlude in a way she believes the situation demands; we see the same events — as Juulia wants to see them now, a couple of months later; and we also learn of the immediate impact the affair had on Juulia. The film is casually paced with virtually no dialogue other than the narration at the beginning and the end.
