"A well crafted, tightly controlled and emotionally probing X-ray … teems with wonderful ideas about the relationship between love and technology." – Hollywood Reporter

When Alex decides to spend a year in Los Angeles pursuing her photography career, leaving Barcelona and her boyfriend Sergi behind, the distance isn't defeating: they'll text, video chat, call and use social media to fill in the gaps. Maintaining a relationship across continents is no longer the romance-killing blow it once was, but the duo soon learn that their 10,000-kilometre divide remains a difficult prospect.

Writer/director Carlos Marques-Marcet shows Alex and Sergi's struggle through their means of virtual communication, with the bulk of the film relayed in digital moments. Actors Natalia Tena and David Verdaguer jointly won a SXSW Special Jury Recognition for their intimate and affecting performances in this sophisticated two-hander that ponders a universal problem: the value of human interaction in our instantly connected, internet-mediated society.

"The central paradox of so much recent technology is sensitively and movingly explored within the context of a thoroughly modern relationship … from first frame to last, the filmmaking exudes intelligence and control." – Variety
