"The imaginative twists, histrionic inventions, and decorative whimsy have a winningly ingenuous and energetic cleverness." – The New Yorker

When the girlfriend of sex-obsessed graphic designer Charles Swan walks out on him, he suffers an anxiety attack that kicks off a surreal journey into his own mind. As his manager, his sister and his friend try to help him, he finds himself visited by all of his past loves as he tries to understand his own enigmatic existence.

From cult filmmaker Roman Coppola (director of CQ and co-writer of Moonrise Kingdom, MIFF 2012) comes this 1970s-set comic exploration of a self-absorbed, larger-than-life character that recalls the styles of his frequent collaborators such as Wes Anderson, Sofia Coppola and Spike Jonze. The touted comeback film of Charlie Sheen, it co-stars Bill Murray, Patricia Arquette, Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
