Mirrored Measure
Mirrored Measure uses concrete domestic situations and obiects - a table being set, a starched, white linen table cloth, polished glasses, a jug of water, mouths drinking - to represent an outer world of harmony and order. This is disrupted by inner tensions, represented formally by repetitive and partial sequences and unexpected sounds and silences. The semblance of clarity and harmony is maintained by the flow of water, while the underlying tensions and disorder are represented by fractured reflections and distorted images. This work embodies the true spirit of experimental film.
