KISARAZU CAT's EYE: GO MAJOR!
Take the manic energy of The Goodies TV series and The Monkees' hallucinogenic feature film Head and then add beer. Based on a demented Japanese cult TV show, the film is set in the dull seaside town of Kisarazu. Juvenile delinquent Bussan has been given six months to live, but much to his annoyance is then given an extension by his doctor. Afraid that his drunken pals will think he is milking the tragedy, Bussan heads to their favourite bar to get the drunken mockery over with. Six months left to live' Six months left to party! It is at this point that the film abandons anything resembling good taste, good sense and any form of predictability.
Bussan and his dopey pals manage to raise a drowned hobo from the dead and convince a Japanese punkabilly band to save the local orphanage, but not before being spirited away to a tropical island populated solely by models in fur bikinis, who force-feed them crabs! An unashamedly insane black comedy.
