LAST TRAIN TO FREO
Told in real time using a solitary claustrophobic location, Last Train to Freo is a tense psychological drama about five individuals who discover they're not who they think they are.
It starts with two ex-cons travelling on a train on a hot summer's night, poking fun at their mind-numbing existence.
When an attractive woman boards, their attention is instantly captured. However, there's more to this woman than meets the eye, as they discover when two more passengers enter the picture and the power balance takes an unexpected twist.
After cutting his acting teeth in numerous local productions, Last Train to Freo marks Jeremy Sims first foray into feature directing and reveals blistering performances from its tight ensemble cast of Steve Le Marquand, Tom Budge, Gigi Edgley, Glenn Hazeldine and Gillian Jones. It's a tight and implosive thriller that refuses to reveal its full hand until the very last moment.
Filmmakers and cast will be attending the festival.
Director Jeremy Sims and actor Tom Budge will introduce the session on Fruday 4 August, 7pm at Forum Theatre. A Q&A will follow the screening.
