PUSHER III
“A vision that thoroughly debunks popular ideas of gangster romanticism.” - Toronto International Film Festival
Taking place over the course of a day, ageing Serbian drug baron, Milo (Zlatko Buric), prepares for his daughter's 25th birthday. At the same time, younger gangs are attempting to muscle in on his turf, which causes problems when attempting to keep the personal and professional aspects of his life separate. It doesn't help when Milo poisons his flunkies with some samosas.
Pusher III was filmed back-to-back with Pusher II. It turns each of the first two on its head, focusing on the trilogy's original villain who now appears more of a henpecked and doting father, as opposed to the thuggish brute we knew.
