ROCK'N'ROLL OUTLAW
WORLD PREMIERE
“Rock ‘n' roll, in the true sense, is partly about theatre and partly about poetry and partly… about the smell of petrol, if you know what I mean.” - Angry AndersonRock 'n' Roll Outlaw is an on-the-road documentary tracing the hidden passions and industry esteem of Australian rock band Rose Tattoo. Beginning their story in 1975, slide-guitarist Pete Wells, bass player Ian Rilen, singer Angry Anderson and other band members tell how they decided to put together a bunch of loud, ugly, tattooed musicians and why their look and sound went on to influence the output of rock ‘n' roll in Australia. Featuring Rose Tattoo's unmistakable music, these unique, personal interviews, remarkable archival performance footage and previously unseen photographs appear with rare 21st century gigs filmed in Australia and Europe.
