MEMORIES

Director Harun Farocki, Eugène Green, Pedro Costa / 2007 / South Korea, Germany, Portugal, France

Originally created for the Jeonju International Film Festival's Digital Project, Memories is a short film triptych from three very different European directors.

German Harun Farocki's Respite is an original take on the Holocaust using black and white footage of inmates at a concentration camp.

Portuguese Pedro Costa's The Rabbit Hunters sees a group of friends from the Fontainhas community in Lisbon find that their past, their families and their work remain only a memory.

In Correspondences, from US-born, French-based director Eugène Green, an internet love affair begins between a forthcoming young Parisian and a sheltered young woman, but a memory from her past still stands in the way.
