MY SUICIDE
“Unlike anything you have ever seen… A visual stream of consciousness, blending archive footage, YouTube clips, doodles and other effects.” - Screen International
Archie Williams, a disaffected 17-year-old media student, suddenly becomes the most talked-about kid in school when he announces, for a class project, that he intends to kill himself on camera.
Unravelling as Archie's fictional video diary, My Suicide is an indefatigable barrage of imagery, as this modern-day Holden Caulfield films every moment of his high school experience: sex, violence, drugs and the intense media overload and hypocrisy that bombard all teenagers.
A dark teen romantic comedy with a suicide prevention message, My Suicide also features an indie-fueled soundtrack that includes Radiohead and Mark Mothersbaugh from Devo.
Winner of Best Film in this year's Berlin film festival youth section.
