WHITE LIGHTNIN'
"A white-trash psychobilly nightmare with midnight movie appeal." - Vanity Fair
From a script penned by Vice Magazine founders Eddy Moretti and Shane Smith comes White Lightnin', a larger-than-life tale inspired by the life of Jesco ‘the dancing outlaw' White.
Ever since Jesco (Edward Hogg; Brothers of the Head, MIFF 06) was a child hooked on huffing gas and lighter fluid, his daddy, D. Ray - known as the greatest Appalachian Mountain dancer of all time - tried to keephis boy on the right side of the Lord. But it didn't always take. As Jesco puts it, “There's tha devil runnin' through my blood.”
The soundtrack features tunes by Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Appalachian bluesman Hasil Adkins.
