EDEN LOG

Director Franck Vestiel / 2007 / France

“A masterpiece of industrialised Armageddon chic enlivened by a touch of Cronenbergian corporeality… Imagine a Guinness advert designed by HR Giger and shot by Terry Gilliam and you're not even close.” - Channel 4

This astonishing and immersive visual experience is a dark spin on the Garden of Eden. Our primordial hero, Tolbiac, wakes up at the bottom of a murky cave and guides us through a subterranean universe called Eden Plantation; essentially an underground greenhouse-gone-bad. As Tolbiac navigates his way upwards, overcoming hostile mutants and a labyrinth of obstacles, he reaches towards an unknown utopia.

Shot on location in the murky depths of a real sewer, this is a striking update to the sci-fi genre and a real fantasy thriller.
