Struggle for Oil

Director Ronald Dick / 1952 / Canada

One of the "Canada Carries On" Series. An account of the development of the new oil reserves in the Canadian prairie country. Here, a vast new harvest is being wrought from the prairie wheatfields as the rich new oilfields are developed, oilfields which are in all probability the most extensive on the earth's surface. The film gives some impression of the gigantic development work being carried out with the building of large new cities and refineries to harness this newly discovered wealth of the nation.
