Ei Salvador: Another Vietnam investigates the history of the crisis and the forces that have embroiled the U.S. in this Central American conflict. The film paints a disturbing picture: 50 years of dictatorship culminating in the October 15, 1979, civilian-military junta, the failure of the long-promised 'reforms' bankrolled by the U.S., thousands of refugees fleeing from the unrestrained repression of the Salvadoran 'security forces', U.S. military advisers and Green Berets, and a growing dependence on American aid.
