Sparks
Chaos, insomnia, labels, medication, institutionalisation and everyone washing their own cups are only some of the themes which figure in this very different view of group living.
Sparks takes an operatically pitched, often humorous and always sympathetic journey through a halfway house for young people who have been in psychiatric hospitals. The knife edge between sanity and madness, the very tenuous points where "they" might get distinguished from "us" are observed with a candour and subtlety that are reflected in the excellent script and nicely sustained ensemble acting.
