His Master's Ghost
A vacation music camp, an old country estate, a mysterious caretaker who can fix his eye on the students and make them play like virtuosos and the unexplained death of a musician who loved Beethoven all come together to make an adventure in the true Enid Blyton tradition.
Young Flea, the practical joker, becomes obsessed with tracking down the ghost of the dead musician; the more serious Jason throws himself into composing his difficult Concerto which he assigns to Greta, whom he admires. While music isn't initially foremost in their minds, the children leave the camp having had the musical experience of a lifetime.
The film was selected because it is so entertaining, it teaches us about how true passion, commitment and hard work pay off in the end and has something to say about how common experiences bring people together, despite differences in age and interests.
