MAN WITHOUT PIGS

Director Chris Owen / 1990 / Australia/Papua New Guinea

The film captures the exotic spectacle, and at the same time the intense and subtle dynamics of village life through the eyes of John Waiko, a member of the Binandere clan in Papua New Guinea, and Ph.D graduate from Australian National University in a conflict between traditional customs and western values.

Due to the film's prior theatrical release, it will not be shown in the festival but is included in the competition.
