And Then There Was Voyager
In any future book on the history of space exploration this century, the Voyager mission will undoubtedly form the main chapter. The launch of Voyager in 1977 was the highpoint of the US space program, before the later disasters of Challenger and the Hubble telescope. After its scheduled encounters with Jupiter and Saturn, Voyager went on to complete flybys of Uranus and Neptune. The mass of information returned from these distant planets overturned more than one astronomical theory. This NASA sponsored documentary is an impressive record of a major voyage of discovery.
