The Northern Lights

Director Alan Booth / 1992 / Canada

Since the beginning of time people have gazed into the polar skies, spellbound by dancing beams of colour...the northern lights. Scientists have advanced theories to explain the aurora borealis in the north and the aurora australis in the south, but the beauty and mystery of the lights has not been diminished. In this documentary, both scientists and the indigenous people of the Arctic talk of their perceptions of this majestic visual phenomenon.
