This remarkable film, an early work by Gotot Prakosa, and now becoming recog­nised as an Asian classic in avant garde perfor­mance cinema, is based on a famous performance developed by Sardono W. Kusuma and his group in Jakarta in the late 1970s. The film, however, is completely cine­matic and is a hypnotic and engrossing experi­ence, comparable with the work of the best of the European surrealists.
