The Heart of Shelley
Very lush and with plenty of bite, this great looking film documents the death (and bizarre post-death surgery) of Percy Byshe Shelley (you know, the poet!). Set to Shelley's sprawling 'Ode to the West Wind' the film reflects the richness of his work, its powerful and insightful imagery and its complete sensory experience. The Heart of Shelley moves from thundering Harrier jet fighters to horse-drawn carriages as the entire experience of his death (and our future) is seen through Mary Shelley's interpretation of his poem. Made for the big screen, its rhythm and style makes it a completely unique documentary.
