At Sea
The memories and pain the death of child brings, are the sub|ect of this fluid and graceful film. Writer-director Penny Fowler-Smith's mother Bremer, tells the story of the birth of her son Andrew and the infant's death on board a ship bound for Australia. A collection of images from old movies and evocative visual links underscore the honest and painful narration, and the film is a beautiful sorrowful epitaph for a lost child buried at sea.
