An eerie and unusual film A Temporary Arrangement recreates the atmosphere found in a late 50's and 60's B&W horror film. A screen split into nine parts presents different elements of a face shot over time and re-arranged to create a new face In one sequence this strange malformed face fragments to reveal a wet, stupified woman and in another sequence implodes to reveal a wet, amused male. Further sequences reveal fully clothed people floating down a river—sometimes struggling at other times lifeless but completely at the mercy of the gentle currents which carry them downstream. The frailty of the human form is revealed yet we can conclude these damp perplexed figures are none the worse for their adventure (LA)
