Peeping Tom
Mark Lewis recreates the unseen footage from Michael Powell's legendary, psychosexual thriller Peeping Tom. In his own version (by the same name) Lewis constructs the footage that the fictional Mark Lewis shoots as he murdered his victims with a weapon on his tripod. Originally conceived as an installation piece, Lewis' lurid techni-colour scheme and elegant editing is closer to Powell's than the fictional Lewis. As Jonathan Romney claims "This is less a remake, more a trailer for the film the homicidal director never finished."
NOTE: Originally shot in 35mm and transferred to DVD for gallery installation, the project screens here in single screen format.
