PICTURE ME: A MODEL'S DIARY
“One of the best films about the world of modelling and an honest portrayal of an industry built on artifice.” - Guardian
After tagging along with his partner, model Sara Ziff, to photo shoots and castings, Ole Schell saw the makings of a film - a visual diary of Sara's experiences within the sometimes glamourous, often controversial, world of an international fashion model.
Incorporating interviews with Sara's modelling cohorts and five years of behind-the-scenes footage, this ‘naked truth' documentary shines a light on the darker side of the fashion industry where art and exploitation are often one and the same.
Winner of the Audience Award at the Milan Film Festival.
“People know these things happen, but they tend to turn a blind eye. And if you don't talk about it, you think you're the only one.” - filmmaker and model Sara Ziff
