Spending their days swimming at the local well and figuring out what to do with their lives, they are inseparable - but when an argument divides them and one goes missing, thing are changed forever.</p> <p>At its core a meditation on how children deal with grief and loss, <i>The Well</i> is filmmaker Umesh Kulkarni's (<i>The Wild Bull</i>) take on adolescence and the moments that define it. Kulkarni's film is part of a new wave of Marathi cinema - the oldest film industry in India, which focuses on bold realism and quality world cinema.</p>
