Join filmmaker guests of the festival and practitioners to discuss building an inclusive screen industry that reflects, and is enriched by, Australia’s diversity.
This year’s panel includes three MIFF Accelerator Lab alumni making their feature debuts at MIFF: John Sheedy (with the MIFF Premiere Fund-supported H is for Happiness); Maziar Lahooti (MIFF Premiere Fund-supported Below); and Hamish Bennett (Bellbird); alongside actor Chris Bunton (Little Monsters and Kairos), producer Lisa Wang (ABC-TV’s Please Like Me and MIFF Premiere Fund-supported Monsieur Mayonnaise), Indigenous screen practitioner John Harvey (director of Out of Range and producer of Warburdar Bununu: Water Shield and 2015 feature Spear); and sales agent Debra Liang (Level-K).
