This lushly animated and wonderfully surreal tale of sexual awakening, which screened in competition at Cannes, follows a humanoid bird as she matures from child to woman.

Colombian visual artist Carla Melo Gampert brings her vividly expressive watercolour style to this animated allegory about being a daughter, being a mother and becoming a woman. After being left with a dog while her mother has a tryst with a reptilian lover, a tiny bird-child rapidly matures into a woman, exploring the anxiety and wonder of sexual awakening along the way.
