Break No.1 & Break No.2

A thrillingly bold montage of still images and video work that pays tribute to memory and time.
An exploration of the fragility of memory and the moving image, this two-part film is a consistently inventive work of imagination. In the first episode, a silent narrator contemplates his friend’s suicide over dreamy, rainbow-coloured archival images, while the second finds him floating through a hall of videos, haunted by the spectre of government censorship. A fascinating blend of love, loss, cinema and materiality.
