A schoolgirl discovers the catfish she bought for dinner is a talking sentient bioweapon.

In an irradiated, military-ruled dystopian Philippines, a bullied 14-year-old brings home a catfish … which, it turns out, is a bioweapon with the power to crack open her simulated reality, not to mention talk and think like a human. With proudly lo-fi effects – from flying telepathic dogs to nuclear vistas to blood sprays – this irreverent, fluorescent mashup of cyber thriller, monster movie and late-night TV engages in social critique in among its outlandish conceit.
