With his second feature Thai director Aditya Assarat returns to the themes of his acclaimed debut, Wonderful Town (MIFF 2007), with a visually elegant take on alienation and the universal search for identity and love.
Having completed his studies in the US, Ananda (played by Australian-Laotian pop star Ananda Everingham) returns to Bangkok, seeking to find a sense of belonging in his old home town. As his relationship with his American girlfriend starts to falter, Ananda struggles to reconnect with a city that is no longer the place he remembers from his childhood.
