The Star Cinema Bendigo is step-free and wheelchair-accessible via a ramp on the Sailors Gully Road, between the Town Hall and the Library.

The Star Cinema Bendigo is a single-level venue and all facilities for MIFF screenings, including bathrooms, box office and candy bar, are step-free and wheelchair-accessible.

The Star Cinema Bendigo has a seated capacity of 181, with six (6) wheelchair-accessible spaces.

Assistive Listening: Star Cinema Bendigo is equipped with Compact Audio Receivers. It is recommended to bring your own headphones with a 3.5mm jack. Compact Audio Receivers can be requested at the bar. Please see the venue’s website for more information.

The bathrooms are located on the ground level. This includes an accessible bathroom.

As a MIFF 2024 venue, please note that:

  • Main entry is via Swanston St (Entry 1)
  • An accessible entrance is available via Swanston St (Entry 1)

Forum Melbourne is a live music, cinema, theatre, and event venue located on the corner of Flinders Street and Russell Street in Melbourne CBD. Built in 1929, Forum showcases unique Gothic-Romanesque architecture and features a sky-blue ceiling creating an illusion of an outdoor amphitheatre setting.

Box Office

The MIFF Box Office is located inside Forum on the left-hand side of the ground floor Foyer. Forum has one small step up to the central double doors. Step-free/wheelchair access is via the ramp through the right-hand side set of doors. 

Food and Beverage 

Forum features a bar/candy bar, located in the mezzanine foyer, for refreshments, snacks, beer and wine.
